For the first time in four fifths of a decade, the USA came out on top in the Summer Olympics. Way to go US!

The Olympics are always an interesting time for me. I love watching all the talents that people have and how they are displayed in various ways in different sports or events. I think it’s pretty impressive what some of these athletes can do. It’s also a little depressing seeing people several years younger than myself that are really doing something with their lives.

But regardless, I always love wasting countless hours in front of the TV for a couple of weeks every two years. And these past two weeks weren’t any different. There were great moments and some not-so-great moments. But all-in-all, it made me proud to be an American, especially the beginning and the end.

There’s nothing like watching what Britain did with the opening & closing ceremonies to make me even more glad we won the Revolutionary War.
